"Return to Juno" - Behind the Scenes

Watch the Behind the Scenes video below!

For the shooting of “Return to Juno” filming was completed using primarily the Nikon D5300 and a D3200 was used for secondary requirements. Lenses included a Nikon f1.8 50mm prime, Nikon f1.8 35mm prime, and the ubiquitous Nikon f3.5 - 5.6 18 - 55mm kit lens. Sound was captured using the Rode VideoMic Go with direct input to the camera and the Rode SmartLav recording to a Zoom H1 which was synced later in post-production.

The lighting of the film included natural light directed through diffusers and off reflectors, as well as regular household interior lighting utilized for the indoor shots. Shooting styles included sliders and fluid-head tripods for many shots with handheld camera work required when shooting overseas on location at Juno Beach. Thankfully, no major stabilization was required.

Locations we shot at included my house in Toronto, Ontario, and of course Juno Beach in Normandy, France. I directed and edited the film, while my sister captured some behind-the-scenes footage. My younger brother narrated the film, while my father proofread the script, provided support on location, and shot some behind-the-scenes as well.. Together we hope that the viewer appreciates the film.

HentyCrew Films - History, Promotional, and Wedding Films

Hey there! I'm William A. Moore, and I make films. Whether they are history films, promotional media, or wedding videos, I put my best effort into every single one.

You may have seen this site a few years ago when I was figuring out what I was going to do with my cameras and interest in film, and now I know. I continue to plan and produce short history films, but also I serve others by making wedding videos to help them remember their special memories that often go by too fast. I can provide other services which are accessed under the 'About' tab.

As you can see, this website is still being created and updated, but if there is anything you would like to know that is not on here, please feel free to contact me under the 'Contact' page along the top. In the meantime, please check out my work under the tabs, 'Highlight Reels', 'Promotional Media', and 'Short Films', which are just above.
